Carnivale Mijnoon is the Extreme in World Fusion Belly Dance projects. It was created by Roxanna (Roxanna Bruscha) in 2005 as a means of taking the art of Belly Dancing out of the proverbial box of traditional styling and creating a group environment for greater artistic growth and expression in performance and community based dancing in the Michigan Belly Dance Community.
The goal of the Carnivale Mijnoon project is to:
feed and encourage the heretofore hidden talents of its members by incorporating them into the dance,
Working with a wide variety of Traditional Middle Eastern and Mediterranean dance styles, with a healthy infusion of American Tribal, Carnivale Mijnoon’s unique World Fusion Style of Belly Dance takes Belly Dance as we know it to new level of eclectic artistry.
The Carnivale Mijnoon Live Music Ensemble includes musicians specializing in fusion bouzouki, fusion sitar, and Middle Eastern and African percussion. Carnivale Mijnoon’s Professional Dance Company creates an unparalleled spectacle on the stage, complimenting our stylized World Fusion Belly Dance technique with the use of a variety of masks, bladed weapons, fire props, live snakes, veils, stilts and other enchanting and perilous props, while our live music ensemble weaves an intense fusion of World, Mediterranean, Indian and Middle Eastern sounds.
Carnivale Mijnoon also plays host to a variety of specialty performers who add contact juggling, fire poi spinning and other circus arts to the show’s amazing mix of audio and visual delights.

Carnivale Mijnoon’s motto (well, one of them, anyway) is “Safety First”.
The most important part of any spectacle oriented performance art is the attention given and measures implemented to ensure the safety of the audience and performers involved.
Carnivale Mijnoon performers and fire safety technicians are trained in safe conduct and handling for all utilized weapon and fire prop equipment.
Equipment is checked regularly to safe guard against structural failure and all performers utilizing potentially dangerous props are liability insured.
